There are three major trekking routes in this region: To Jomsom, to the Annapurna sanctuary and the circuit of entire Annapurna massif. Here anyone can make trekking as per their time frame.

This trekking area is covered and handled with assistance of the King Mahendra Trust for Nature conservation and the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP). Among the birds found in this region are the Himalayan griffons, Lammergeier, forktail, redstart, thrush and kingfisher to name a few. Gurung, Magar, Thakali & Brahmin villages dot the lower elevations. The Tibetan cultural influence becomes stronger as you go north

About two thirds of the trekkers in Nepal visit the AnnapurnAnnapurna Areaa region. The area is easily accessible, hotels in the hills are plentiful and treks here offer good scenery of both high mountains and lowland villages.
